The NFC and AFC Conference Championships have been won by the LA Rams who beat the NO Saints 26-23 and the NE Patriots who on their end defeated the KA Chiefs 31-31. Ironically both games went to overtime and the teams prevailing in the end were the two teams playing on the road knocking out both number one seeds in their respective Conference.
These 4 teams have battled it out closely only for the winners to edge it in overtime.
However, the match between the LA Rams and the NO Saints ended up in controversy after the referees failed to call a clear pass interference by Rams’ Nickell Robey-Coleman, who destroyed Saints’ Lewis well before the ball arrived. It should have been a text book pass interference and a possible personal foul which would have given the Saints the opportunity to put the game to bed.
Needless to say, Saints head coach Sean Payton went ballistic following this non-call.
Watch out the incident here.
Whilst wishing good luck to both the Rams and the Patriots for the Superbowl, Loony’s idea on this incident is quiet clear: “Horrendous Call! Feeling bad for Sean Peyton and the Saints.”
