If you’re a Fortnite fan, this one is for you.

The game developed by Epic Games has taken the world by storm, and it’s about to get bigger.

Details have emerged about the Fortnite World Cup, which will consist of nothing less than $40,000,000 in prize money.

Between April 13th and June 16th there will be ten weekly online open qualifiers, with a total of $1,000,000 being distributed amongst the top players each week.
Next step will see the top 100 solo players and 50 duo teams competing in New York City on July 26th for a whooping $30,000,000.

This is considered to be the largest prize pool for a single eSport event in history. Fortnite is expected to outdo two of eSports most iconic names in total prize pool money awarded by the end of Q3 of 2019. It will trail by less than $10,000,000 behind CSGO and League of Legends.

Epic Games added that the $1,000,000 weekly tournaments will continue throughout the remainder of 2019.
